Multi-Drum Blind Rivet with Round Head – Product Introduction
The multi-drum blind rivet with round head is a high-performance fastener designed for single-side riveting, manufactured according to the original YJT 1046 technical specifications, with common models such as YJT 8009. Its core feature is that during pull riveting, the rivet body tail is induced by a specialized structure to fold and form 2 to 3 independent drum-shaped rings (resembling a “lantern” shape), rather than simply expanding. Combined with a low-profile round head design, it can provide extremely large bearing area and uniform clamping force without damaging the connected components, while also offering certain sealing and vibration-damping functions. The material typically uses high-plasticity aluminum alloy rivet body (such as 5052) combined with carbon steel or stainless steel mandrel, widely applied in automotive, electronics, home appliances, and light building materials for connecting soft, brittle, and thin-walled materials.
I. Product Features
Multi-Drum Folded Formation: During pull riveting, the rivet body tail sequentially folds into multiple drum-shaped rings, distributing the locking force across multiple bearing surfaces, forming “multi-point support” and significantly reducing single-point pressure.
Round Head Smooth Profile: The rivet head features a wide, flat, rounded shape. After installation, the appearance is neat without protrusions, meeting the surface requirements for interior and exterior components.
High-Plasticity Rivet Body Material: The rivet body commonly uses 5052/5056 aluminum alloy with excellent ductility, ensuring full multi-drum folding without cracking, while also providing corrosion resistance.
Blind End Self-Locking Structure: After the mandrel breaks, the fracture surface is flush with the interior of the drum-shaped body. The residual mandrel forms auxiliary locking, preventing loosening and abnormal noise.
Standard Break-Neck Groove Control: The mandrel has a pre-set precision break groove that automatically breaks the mandrel when the set pulling force is reached. The riveting force consistency is excellent, and operation requires no experience-based judgment.
