Product Overview
The hexagon socket head shoulder screw (stripper bolt) is manufactured to GB 5281-1985. The screw has a cylindrical head with a hexagon socket, a precision ground smooth shoulder below the head, and a threaded end. The shoulder has high dimensional accuracy and a smooth surface, so it can be used as a pivot, guide shaft or locating pin, working with bearings, guide bushes or slide plates. It is widely used in moulds, jigs, automation equipment and precision machinery.
1. Product Features
- Cylindrical head with hexagon socket, driven with a hex key.
- Precision ground smooth shoulder for use as a pivot, guide or locating shaft.
- Threaded end for fixing.
- Grades 8.8, 10.9 and 12.9 for high strength.
- Materials: carbon steel (25#/35#/45#) and stainless steel (304/316).
2. Product Advantages
- Ground shoulder gives smooth rotation and accurate positioning.
- One screw does three jobs: locating, guiding and fastening.
- High degree of standardisation: the GB 5281 dimensional system is complete, which simplifies export matching and second sourcing.
- Material and surface finish can be customised to balance strength, corrosion resistance and cost.
3. Application Scope
- Locating and guiding in moulds, jigs and fixtures.
- Pivot and guide shafts in automation equipment and manipulators.
- Use with bearings, guide bushes and slide plates.
- Stainless steel versions suit damp or mildly corrosive environments.
