Product Overview
The cross recessed (Phillips) pan head wood screw is manufactured to GB/T 950-1986. Its round (pan) head carries a cross recess, so it can be driven quickly with a Phillips screwdriver or a power driver. The large bearing face of the pan head means the timber surface is not crushed, and the cross recess is self-centring so the bit is unlikely to slip out, making it suitable for volume assembly lines. The thread is a wood-screw type with a coarse pitch and a sharp tapered point that cuts the wood fibres as it is driven in.
1. Product Features
- Round (pan) head with a large bearing face, so the timber surface is not crushed when driving.
- Cross recess (Phillips) drive: usable with a Phillips screwdriver or power driver, self-centring and slip-resistant.
- Wood-screw thread with coarse pitch and sharp tapered point; drives smoothly into timber without splitting.
- Nominal diameters from 2 mm to 10 mm, a complete size range.
- Recess size is controlled to the standard to match standard Phillips bits.
2. Product Advantages
- The cross recess suits rapid power-tool assembly, clearly faster than slotted wood screws.
- The self-centring recess resists slipping and recess damage during volume assembly.
- The large pan head spreads the clamping load and avoids crushing the timber, giving a firm joint.
- High degree of standardisation: the GB/T 950 dimensional system is complete, which simplifies export matching and second sourcing.
3. Application Scope
- Wooden furniture, wooden packing cases and pallets.
- Building decoration, wooden doors and windows, and soft board fixing.
- Assembly of wooden parts in appliances, toys and handicrafts.
- Stainless steel versions suit damp or mildly corrosive environments such as outdoor woodwork and kitchen or bathroom fittings.
