Product Overview
The slotted countersunk head wood screw is manufactured to GB/T 100-1986. Its 90 degree countersunk (conical) head is driven by a single slotted recess, so an ordinary flat-blade screwdriver can be used. After tightening, the head sits flush with, or slightly below, the timber surface, making it suitable for woodwork where the screw head must not show. The thread is a wood-screw type with a coarse pitch and a sharp tapered point that cuts the wood fibres as it is driven in, so the timber is less likely to split.
1. Product Features
- 90 degree countersunk (conical) head: sits flush with the timber surface after assembly for a flat, snag-free finish.
- Single slotted drive: an ordinary flat-blade screwdriver is all that is needed.
- Wood-screw thread with coarse pitch and sharp tapered point; drives smoothly into timber without splitting.
- Nominal diameters from 1.6 mm to 10 mm, a complete size range.
- Available in carbon steel and stainless steel to suit the service environment.
2. Product Advantages
- The countersunk design keeps the assembled surface flat, which suits wood flooring, wood cladding and other visible surfaces.
- The self-tapping tapered thread needs no pilot hole, or only a small one, giving high installation efficiency for volume woodworking.
- High degree of standardisation: the GB/T 100 dimensional system is complete, which simplifies export matching and second sourcing.
- Material and surface finish can be customised to balance strength, corrosion resistance and cost.
3. Application Scope
- Wooden furniture, wood flooring, wooden doors and wood cladding panels.
- Wooden packing cases, pallets and building timber structures.
- Assembly of wooden parts in appliances, toys and handicrafts.
- Stainless steel versions suit damp or mildly corrosive environments such as outdoor woodwork and kitchen or bathroom fittings.
