Cross Slotted Pan Head Screw — Product Introduction
The cross slotted pan head screw is a machine screw with a pan head (truncated cone shape) and a standard cross recess on top. It is driven into pre-tapped holes or used with nuts via a cross screwdriver or electric driver bit, primarily serving for fastening connections of metal, plastic, and electronic components. The common standard is GB/T 818, with thread sizes ranging from M1.6 to M10, and performance classes including 4.8, 8.8, as well as stainless steel grades A2-70 and A4-70.
I. Product Features
- Pan head structure: The head has a truncated cone shape with a flat top and smooth edges, providing a large bearing area.
- Cross recess drive: Equipped with a standard cross recess (Type H or Type Z), compatible with common cross screwdrivers and power tools, offering stable torque transmission.
- Complete thread size range: Nominal diameters from M1.6 to M10 with a wide range of nominal lengths, meeting diverse assembly requirements.
- Various materials and grades: Available in carbon steel, stainless steel, brass, and more. Carbon steel parts can be zinc-plated, blackened, or nickel-plated. Stainless steel parts are typically supplied in natural finish or passivated.
- Full thread or partial thread: Full-thread or semi-thread configurations are available based on service requirements.
II. Product Advantages
- Easy installation: The cross recess allows easy alignment and is resistant to cam-out, suitable for both manual and automated assembly.
- Excellent head bearing performance: The larger pan head diameter disperses clamping pressure during tightening, reducing damage to soft materials or thin panels.
- Strong versatility: As a standard fastener, dimensions are uniform and interchangeable, facilitating procurement, maintenance, and part replacement.
- Repeated assembly and disassembly: Complete threads allow repeated driving in and out without damaging the thread, convenient for maintenance.
- Low cost: Simple structure with mature manufacturing processes, suitable for high-volume applications.
III. Scope of Application
- Electronics and home appliances: Fastening of chassis, cabinets, small appliances, instrument enclosures, and internal component assemblies.
- Mechanical equipment: Fastening of machine tools, pumps, valves, automation equipment, reducers, and other components.
- Automobiles and motorcycles: Connection of interior parts, brackets, lamps, body accessories, and more.
- Furniture and decoration: Metal furniture, office furniture, display shelves, and hardware installations.
- General assembly: Fastening scenarios for metal and plastic parts requiring nuts or pre-tapped holes.
