Equal-Length Double-End Stud, Grade B — Product Introduction
Equal-Length Double-End Stud, Grade B is a fastener conforming to GB/T 901-1988. It has equal-length threads at both ends and a plain shank (unthreaded section) in the middle. It is used together with nuts to connect two parts with through holes. This standard applies to equal-length double-end studs with thread diameters from M2 to M56, product grade B, thread tolerance 6g, and mechanical property classes covering carbon steel grades 4.8, 5.8, 6.8, 8.8, 10.9, 12.9 and stainless steel A2-50, A2-70, etc.
1. Product Features
• Equal-length threads at both ends: The thread lengths at both ends of the stud are equal, with a plain shank section in the middle. During installation, one end is screwed into the internal threaded hole of the connected part, and the other end passes through a through hole and is locked with a nut.
• Grade B precision: Product grade B, thread tolerance 6g, suitable for general mechanical connection applications with moderate precision requirements.
• Wide specification coverage: Thread specifications from M2 to M56, with a wide range of nominal lengths (e.g., M6 from 10 to 6000 mm), meeting different connection needs from small precision equipment to large steel structures.
• Various materials and grades: Carbon steel (Q235, 35#, 45#), alloy steel (35CrMoA, 42CrMoA), stainless steel (304, 316), etc. Carbon steel parts can be blackened, zinc plated and passivated, etc.
• High standardization: As a national standard product, it has uniform dimensions, good interchangeability, and standard marking method (e.g., "Stud GB/T 901 M12×100").
2. Product Advantages
• Suitable for thick connected parts: When the connected parts are thick and ordinary bolts are insufficient in length, equal-length double-end studs can provide a longer threaded connection length to ensure connection reliability.
• Convenient for frequent disassembly: One end is screwed into the internal threaded hole for fixation, and the other end is locked with a nut. During disassembly, only the nut needs to be loosened without withdrawing the stud from the base material, making it suitable for equipment requiring frequent disassembly and maintenance.
• Strong load-bearing capacity: Made of high-strength materials such as 45#, 40Cr, 35CrMoA, etc. Carbon steel tensile strength can reach over 700 MPa, and alloy steel can be customized up to 1200 MPa, capable of withstanding large tensile and shear loads.
• Adaptable to complex working conditions: Stainless steel (304/316) versions have good corrosion resistance, and alloy steel (B7, L7, etc.) can be used in high-temperature and high-pressure conditions. Some products can be given non-magnetic treatment or anti-seize coating.
• Flexible installation: The threads at both ends can be matched with different sizes of nuts, and the plain shank section in the middle can pass through a through hole, suitable for connections between two parts with through holes.
3. Scope of Application
• Mechanical manufacturing and equipment installation: Connection and fixing of reducer frames, mechanical seal seats, pumps and valves, compressors, and other equipment.
• Construction and steel structures: Concrete roof trusses, large-span steel structures, bridges, towers, and other locations requiring long threaded connections.
• Pipelines and flanges: Equal-length double-end studs for pipe flange connections, suitable for pipeline systems in petroleum, chemical, power, boiler steel structures, etc.
• Power and railway: Power equipment, railway bridges, automotive and motorcycle parts, and other applications requiring high-strength and vibration-resistant connections.
• Chemical and refining: Flange connections for reactors, heat exchangers, valves, etc. Stainless steel or alloy steel materials can adapt to corrosive or high-temperature and high-pressure environments.
