L-Type Foundation Bolt – Product Description
The L-Type Foundation Bolt (also commonly known as the right-angle foundation bolt or bent-end bolt) has its bottom end bent at a 90° right angle, gaining its name from its shape that closely resembles the letter “L”. It is specially designed for embedded anchoring in concrete foundations; through the grip force between the bottom right-angle hook and the concrete, it effectively resists the uplift forces and overturning moments generated during equipment operation. The product is strictly manufactured in accordance with DL/T 1236(L)-2013 (power industry standard) or GB 798-88 (national standard), using high-quality carbon steel, alloy steel or stainless steel, and features easy installation, reliable anchoring and high cost-effectiveness. It is widely suitable for power towers, medium-sized equipment foundations, steel structure column bases, municipal facilities and other engineering scenarios.
I. Product Features
90° Right-Angle Hook Anchoring Structure: The bottom end is bent into a standard 90° right angle, and the hook segment engages tightly with the concrete, effectively resisting uplift forces and overturning moments.
Wide Coverage of Specifications: Diameters range from M8 to M64, and lengths can be customized as needed (typically 160 mm to 3000 mm), adapting to various engineering requirements.
Flexible Material Selection: Commonly used materials include Q235B (high cost-effectiveness), 45# steel (moderate strength), 40Cr (high strength), stainless steel 304/316L (corrosion-resistant and maintenance-free), etc.
Optional Performance Grades: The standard performance grades are 4.6 and 5.6, and high-strength grades such as 8.8 can be achieved through material selection and heat treatment.
Diverse Surface Treatments: Available in natural finish, blackening, galvanizing, hot-dip galvanizing and other treatments, adapting to different anti-corrosion environment requirements.
II. Product Advantages
Simple Structure, Easy Processing: The L-type bending process is mature, with low manufacturing cost, suitable for mass production and fast delivery.
Reliable Anchoring Performance: The 90° right-angle hook forms a stable mechanical lock in the concrete; its pull-out bearing capacity surpasses that of straight-shank bolts, meeting the needs of medium-load working conditions.
Precise Installation and Positioning: During embedding, single-side construction is simple to operate with high positioning accuracy, significantly shortening the on-site construction cycle.
Outstanding Cost-Effectiveness: Compared with the C-type (ring type) which requires welding a closed ring, the L-type structure is simpler and the overall cost is lower, making it the preferred solution that balances performance and budget.
Strong Adaptability to Application Scenarios: It is core-suited to medium-load conditions of 30–150 kN and is a common choice in industries such as power, communications and general equipment.
III. Scope of Application
The L-Type Foundation Bolt is suitable for various projects with medium loads and higher requirements for pull-out and overturning resistance, with core application scenarios including:
Power and Communication Towers: Anchoring foundations for transmission towers, communication signal towers, microwave towers, radio and television towers, etc.
Medium-Sized Mechanical Equipment Foundations: Installation of compressors, pumping equipment, fans, air-conditioning units, small and medium-sized generator sets, etc.
Steel Structure Buildings: Anchoring of light steel structure plants, storage and logistics warehouses, steel structure platform column bases.
Municipal and Transportation Facilities: Embedded foundations for street light poles, traffic signal poles, large billboards, bus stops, guardrail posts, etc.
General Industrial and Civil Buildings: Industrial equipment platforms, small crane rail foundations, agricultural greenhouse frame fixings, etc.
