Type C Foundation Bolt – Product Introduction

The Type C Foundation Bolt is a ring-type embedded anchoring fastener defined under the GB/T 799 standard. The closed-loop ring at the shank end can be threaded with transverse rebar to form a dual pull-out anchoring system. Manufactured from carbon steel, alloy steel, or stainless steel, the ring butt weld undergoes non-destructive flaw detection to ensure zero defects. Suitable for heavy-duty engineering projects with extremely high anchoring reliability requirements, such as large equipment foundations, bridge bearings, and structural steel column bases.

I. Product Features

Closed-loop ring structure: The end is bent into a closed ring that can accommodate transverse rebar threading, offering over 30% greater pull-out capacity compared to hook-type designs.

100% weld flaw detection: The ring butt weld undergoes magnetic particle or liquid penetrant inspection, free from incomplete fusion and cracks, with strength no less than 90% of the base material.

Uniform stress distribution with no stress concentration: The ring structure transfers loads uniformly to the surrounding concrete, delivering excellent resistance to eccentric loading and fatigue.

High thread precision: Rolled threads with 6g precision, smooth nut engagement, and reliable locking.

Wide specification coverage: Diameters from M8 to M72, lengths customized as needed, ring inner diameter matched to standard specifications.

Multiple material options: Full range including carbon steel (Q235B / No. 45 steel), alloy steel (40Cr / 42CrMo), and stainless steel (304 / 316L).

II. Product Advantages

Maximum anchoring force with high safety margin: The ring-and-rebar structure provides dual protection — even if concrete cracks, sufficient anchoring margin remains.

Traceable quality assurance: Each batch comes with material certificates, flaw detection reports, and dimensional inspection records, meeting inspection and traceability requirements for high-end projects such as nuclear power and bridges.

Long anti-corrosion service life: Hot-dip galvanized carbon steel with zinc coating ≥ 85 μm offers a service life exceeding 20 years; stainless steel provides lifetime maintenance-free performance.

Precise construction positioning: The ring’s rebar-threading capability ensures accurate embedment positioning, substantially reducing on-site adjustment work.

Non-standard customization supported: Custom ring diameter, length, material, and special requirements available per customer drawings, with flexible delivery schedules.

III. Application Scope

Heavy-duty equipment foundations: Anchoring of large compressors, steam turbines, generators, rolling mills, crushers, and other vibrating equipment.

Structural steel column bases: Steel column fixation for super high-rise buildings, large-span grid structures, stadiums, and convention centers.

Bridge engineering: Embedded bearing pre-installation for highway and railway bridges, bridge pier collision protection facilities, and cross-sea bridge tower foundations.

Power and energy: Nuclear power plant equipment, main power plant buildings, wind turbine towers, and UHV transmission tower foundations.

Municipal facilities: Large water treatment tanks, elevated bridge piers, tall billboard and signage structure foundations.

Ports and marine engineering: Dock bollards, breakwater embedded components, and offshore platform equipment fixation.

Procurement Questions

Common procurement questions about specification, material, finish and delivery.

Please confirm the application position, load, connection thickness and working environment first, then match diameter, length, thread pitch, material, strength grade, surface finish and applicable standard. Drawings, photos or old samples help us quote more accurately.

Hot-dip galvanizing and Dacromet are common choices for outdoor applications. For humid, coastal or chemical environments, stainless steel 304/316 or higher corrosion-resistant solutions may be better.

Please provide drawings or 3D files, material, dimensions, tolerance, grade, surface treatment, packing method and quantity. If drawings are not ready, samples or installation photos can also be reviewed.

Bolts and nuts should match nominal diameter, thread pitch, thread type, standard and strength grade. High-strength connections should also use suitable washers and anti-loosening solutions.

Application Scenarios

Choose material, grade and surface treatment based on real working conditions.

Construction

Steel structures, curtain walls, embedded parts and site assembly.

Machinery

Equipment assembly, maintenance parts and frame fixing.

Solar Mounting

Outdoor brackets, corrosion resistance and weather exposure.
