Bolt-Type Expansion Anchor [Concrete Wedge Anchor] – Product Introduction

This is an internal expansion anchor consisting of a tapered nut, expansion sleeve, and threaded rod. During installation, the threaded rod is tightened; the cone pulls the sleeve end outward, firmly pressing it against the hole wall to form a key-lock anchoring effect. Its most notable feature is that the threaded rod can be fully extracted and reinserted without affecting the anchoring point, making it ideal for equipment fixing that requires disassembly and maintenance.

I. Product Features

Removable threaded rod: When the bolt is loosened, the threaded rod can be completely removed from the anchor sleeve, while the sleeve remains securely in the hole, enabling non-destructive disassembly and reassembly.

Tapered internal expansion: The tapered nut spreads the sleeve end outward, creating a “key-lock” effect — the anchoring force tightens further as the load increases.

Full-thread rod: Provides ample adjustment allowance and fastening length, accommodating different thicknesses of the fixture.

Sleeve guide grooves: The outer sleeve typically features longitudinal slots or ribs for accurate positioning during expansion, preventing rotation inside the hole.

Multiple head types and materials: Exposed bolts are commonly hex-head or full-thread with a nut; materials include carbon steel (zinc-plated) or stainless steel.

II. Product Advantages

Easy equipment disassembly and maintenance: Simply unscrew and remove the equipment; the sleeve stays in the concrete. Reinstallation at the same location requires no redrilling.

Strong and reliable anchoring: The key-lock expansion structure provides strong grip, with excellent resistance to vibration — suitable for dynamically loaded and safety-critical fixing applications.

Intuitive installation inspection: Installation depth is controllable with a clear torque feedback when fully expanded, allowing the installer to directly confirm proper installation.

Substrate-friendly: Being a controlled-expansion anchor, stress distribution is relatively uniform; it is less likely to crack concrete edges and well-suited for installations near edges.

Long service life and environmental resistance: Zinc-plated steel or stainless steel options are available for both indoor and outdoor use; compared to chemical anchors, it offers superior aging resistance.

III. Application Areas

Building and curtain wall: Stone curtain wall subframes, glass curtain wall columns, embedded fixture fixing.

Mechanical and electrical equipment installation: Bases for pumps, fans, compressors, elevator guide rails, and other machinery requiring periodic inspection, repair, or replacement.

Industrial and pipe supports: Factory pipe brackets, cable trays, conveyor belt supports.

Safety and railings: Outdoor guardrails, steel stairways, surveillance camera poles, retractable door tracks.

Renovation and home decoration: Outdoor air conditioner brackets, water heater mounting frames, sunshade canopies, and other outdoor fixed-point applications.

Procurement Questions

Common procurement questions about specification, material, finish and delivery.

Please confirm the application position, load, connection thickness and working environment first, then match diameter, length, thread pitch, material, strength grade, surface finish and applicable standard. Drawings, photos or old samples help us quote more accurately.

Hot-dip galvanizing and Dacromet are common choices for outdoor applications. For humid, coastal or chemical environments, stainless steel 304/316 or higher corrosion-resistant solutions may be better.

Please provide drawings or 3D files, material, dimensions, tolerance, grade, surface treatment, packing method and quantity. If drawings are not ready, samples or installation photos can also be reviewed.

Bolts and nuts should match nominal diameter, thread pitch, thread type, standard and strength grade. High-strength connections should also use suitable washers and anti-loosening solutions.

Application Scenarios

Choose material, grade and surface treatment based on real working conditions.

Construction

Steel structures, curtain walls, embedded parts and site assembly.

Machinery

Equipment assembly, maintenance parts and frame fixing.

Solar Mounting

Outdoor brackets, corrosion resistance and weather exposure.
