Eyebolt Nut — Product Introduction
The DIN 582 eyebolt nut (also known as lifting eye nut or eye nut) is a standardized lifting and rigging connection component. It consists of a nut body with internal threads and an integrally formed ring eyelet, allowing direct threading onto matching bolts or threaded rod ends to create temporary or permanent lifting points for hoisting, turning, pulling, or securing heavy loads.
This product conforms to the German standard DIN 582 (latest edition: 2024), which specifies precise requirements for dimensions, rated load, safety factor, manufacturing process, and inspection criteria. Common materials include carbon steel (e.g., C15E) and stainless steel A2/A4, with surface finishes such as zinc plating, black oxide, and polishing.
I. Product Features
- Standardized design: Strictly manufactured in accordance with DIN 582, with uniform dimensions and strong interchangeability, facilitating easy selection and replacement.
- One-piece forged construction: The eyelet and nut body are forged as a single unit with no weld points, ensuring high strength and eliminating welding defect risks.
- High safety factor: Standards require a minimum safety factor of ≥4 under rated load; some versions demand higher ratios, ensuring safe lifting operations.
- Diverse materials and surface treatments: Options include carbon steel (zinc-plated/black oxide) or stainless steel A2/A4, adapting to different corrosive environments.
- Clear rated load markings: Products are typically marked with thread size, material group, and manufacturer code for easy traceability and management.
- Complete thread size range: Commonly available from M6 to M64 or larger, meeting varying load requirements.
II. Product Advantages
- High safety: Forging process combined with strict quality control ensures reliable use within rated loads, significantly reducing lifting accident risks.
- Easy installation: Simply thread the eyebolt nut onto a secured bolt or threaded rod to form a lifting point — no welding or complex tools required.
- Strong versatility: Compliant with international standards, compatible with same-specification bolts, lifting fixtures, and chains; widely used across all types of mechanical equipment.
- Extensive corrosion-resistant options: Stainless steel A4 is suitable for marine, chemical, and other highly corrosive environments, extending service life.
- Cost-effective: Compared to custom lifting ears or welded lifting points, standard eyebolt nuts offer lower cost with easy replacement and simple maintenance.
- Traceability: Certified products come with material certificates and load parameters, meeting corporate safety production and audit requirements.
III. Application Scope
- General machinery manufacturing: Used for hoisting, installation, and maintenance of machine tools, molds, motors, gearboxes, and other equipment.
- Logistics and warehousing: Paired with slings for lifting and handling pallets, boxes, cabinets, and other cargo.
- Shipbuilding and offshore engineering: A4 stainless steel eyebolt nuts are used for deck equipment, hatch covers, piping systems, and other corrosion-resistant applications.
- Chemical and food industries: A2/A4 stainless steel is suitable for equipment lifting in clean or corrosive environments.
- Construction and steel structures: Used as temporary lifting points for positioning steel members and prefabricated components.
- Energy and wind power: For hoisting and maintaining heavy components such as generators, gearboxes, and converters.
- Special operating conditions: Custom high-temperature, low-temperature, or non-standard thread eyebolt nuts can be provided upon request, typically covering -20°C to +200°C (special materials can extend this range).
