It combines the functions of a drill bit, a tap, and an anchor into a single unit. The hardened steel tip and cutting flutes allow it to drill its own mating thread directly into the base material without pre-tapping, while the integrated flange provides a large bearing surface to distribute clamp load and prevent rotation during installation. This design offers exceptional pull-out strength and immediate load capacity, making it ideal for fastening structural elements, machinery, and heavy fixtures where speed and reliability are critical.

Installation Guidelines

  1. Mark & Drill Pilot Hole (Optional for some models): For harder concrete, a pilot hole of a smaller diameter may be recommended to guide the anchor and reduce installation torque. Consult technical data.

  2. Drive the Anchor: Using the correct drive tool (e.g., hex key, socket), rotate the anchor into the base material. The cutting flutes will drill and tap the hole simultaneously.

  3. Set to Depth: Continue driving until the flange is firmly seated against the fixture or base material surface.

  4. Final Tightening (if using a nut): Once set, a standard nut can be tightened against the fixture using a wrench to achieve the final clamp load.
